Please note the following:

Official college/high school transcripts
Application to a Bachelors Degree Program requires submission of transcripts from each undergraduate institution attended. If the applicant has no previous college experience we require submission of an official high school transcript stating completion of secondary school or its equivalent.

Application to a Masters Degree Program requires verification of a Baccalaureate Degree completed at an appropriately accredited institution or its foreign equivalent. Nursing program applicants must hold a baccalaureate degree in nursing (BSN) from an accredited program.

Verification must be in the form of an official transcript from the college or university where the student earned his/her Baccalaureate Degree. International students must submit a foreign degree evaluation, the details of which are below.

Three letters of recommendation attesting to your capabilities and personal integrity. If possible, one of these letters should be from your current employer. Letters of recommendation can be no more than 2 years old and should be in standard business letter format.

A statement of your goals reflecting the academic, professional and personal goals that you would like to achieve through your work with Aspen University. Your goals statement will be evaluated by the Admissions Committee as part of the application process. The Statement of Goals must be a minimum of 250 words and should answer the following questions:

-Why do you feel it is important to attain your degree?
-How would you be an asset to the program?
-What are your educational goals at both Aspen and in the future?
-What are your career goals and how would this degree will help you reach them?

After we receive the application, application fee, transfer credit evaluation fee, resume and official transcripts, you MAY receive conditional acceptance into the program. Conditional acceptance is confirmed to the student through the Registrar. At that point you have 30 days to submit the statement of goals and letters of recommendation as well as enroll in your first course. Students are encouraged to submit all application materials as soon as possible. Aspen University must review and verify these additional documents before you can be officially accepted into the degree program. You must begin your first course within 90 days of conditional acceptance. Failure to submit additional documentation and enroll within the 4 week period may result in your application being nullified.

Foreign Applicants and Applicants with International Credentials:

TOEFL Test Requirements

Applicants whose native language is not English and who have not earned a degree from an appropriately accredited institution where English is the principal language of instruction must receive a minimum score of 500 (530 for Masters degree program applicants) on the paper-based Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL), or 61 on the iBT (71 on the iBT for Masters degree program applicants), or its equivalent. TOEFL scores need to be submitted with your application.

When taking the TOEFL test use our school code number 2130 when indicating our institution as a score recipient. Your score will be sent to Aspen University directly from Educational Testing Service. For more information on TOEFL visit the website at: www.ets.org/toefl

Foreign Degree Evaluation

Applicants wishing to transfer in credits or degrees earned at institutions located outside the United States must have their academic transcripts evaluated and certified by a National Association of Credential Evaluation Services, Inc. (NACES) member organization. Applicants will be assessed a fee by the certifying organization and should request that the report be sent directly to Aspen University. Applicants transferring in a degree need to request a General Degree Evaluation sometimes called a Document by Document Evaluation. Applicants wishing to transfer in credits toward specific courses in the Aspen curricula must request a Course-by-Course report. For addition information, contact the office of the Registrar: 303-333-4224 or registrar@aspen.edu.

Both of the items above are required for conditional acceptance.
